The Whiteout Margarita
This recipe combines the classic margarita structure with the smooth, tropical texture of cream of coconut for a unique flavor.
Ingredients
1 ½ oz 7TH WARD SPIRITS BLANCO Tequila (or Cristalino for an even smoother finish)
.75 oz Orange Liqueur (e.g., Cointreau or Triple Sec)
½ oz fresh lime juice
.75 oz White Cranberry Juice
½ oz Cream of Coconut (the cocktail syrup, not the canned coconut milk/cream)
Garnish: White icing and shredded/flaked coconut
Directions
Prepare the Glass (Rim):
Place a small amount of white icing on a shallow plate or saucer.
Place shredded coconut on a separate shallow plate or saucer.
Take your margarita glass, coupe, or rocks glass and carefully dip the rim into the icing to coat it evenly.
Immediately dip the icing-coated rim into the coconut to create a "snowy" white rim.
Fill the glass with fresh ice and set it aside.
Combine Ingredients: Pour the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, white cranberry juice, and cream of coconut into a cocktail shaker.
Add Ice: Fill the shaker about three-quarters of the way with fresh, quality ice.
Shake Vigorously: Secure the lid tightly and shake hard for about 15 seconds. You need to shake vigorously to properly blend the cream of coconut with the other liquids, creating a slightly frothy, opaque mixture.
Strain and Serve: Double-check the rim garnish on your prepared glass. Strain the cocktail mixture from the shaker into the glass over the fresh ice.
Enjoy your Whiteout Margarita!

7th Ward Espresso Martini
Ingredients
2 oz 7th Ward Spirits Café Tequila
1 oz freshly brewed espresso, chilled
½ oz – 1 oz chocolate liqueur (adjust to your preferred sweetness)
Garnish: Coffee beans (traditionally 3, representing health, wealth, and happiness)
Instructions
Chill the Glass: Place your martini or coupe glass in the freezer, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the drink.
Add Ingredients: Combine the 7th Ward Spirits Café Tequila, chilled espresso, and chocolate liqueur into a cocktail shaker.
Tip: Ensure your espresso is chilled. Using hot liquid will dilute the drink too much and result in less foam.
Fill with Ice: Fill the shaker about three-quarters of the way with fresh, quality ice.
Shake Vigorously: Secure the lid tightly and shake very hard for about 15 to 20 seconds. The goal is to chill the mixture thoroughly and create a beautiful, thick layer of foam (the crema) on top.
Double Strain: Discard the chilling ice water from your glass. Place a cocktail strainer (like a Hawthorn strainer) over the shaker, and then use a fine-mesh strainer (like a tea strainer) over the glass. Pour the mixture through both strainers into the chilled glass. This ensures a smooth, ice-chip-free texture and preserves the foam.
Garnish: Float 3 coffee beans on the center of the foam.
Enjoy your 7th Ward Espresso Martini!
